Lion's Paw Kriya for Igniting Your Aura
Unlock your inner strength and reset your energy with this powerful Kundalini Yoga moving meditation. In this video, I'll guide you through the transformative Lions Paw Kriya, featuring the dynamic Breath of Fire. Lions Paw Kriya is an effective way to reset your aura and electromagnetic field, crucial for energetic protection and projection. Our aura magnifies what exists within it, affecting our human experience and our connection with everything in existence. Practicing this Kriya intentionally for 3, 7, or 11 minutes (work your way up), especially as a 40-day sadhana, can lead to a profound, energetic reset. SAT NAM!
This kriya relies heavily on the power of a proper Breath of Fire. If you need help with doing breath of fire properly, click here.
Lion’s Paw Kriya Instructions
After sitting in easy pose like I am and tuning in with the Adi Mantra and Mangala Charn chants…
Sit in Easy Pose – Find a comfortable cross-legged position. Keep your back straight and relax your shoulders. Gently tuck your chin towards your chest (jalandhar bandh).
Make Lion's Paws – Curl your fingers tightly into your palms to create "Lion's Paws" with both hands.
Extend Your Arms – Stretch your arms out to the sides, parallel to the ground, with palms facing up. Keep your hands tense throughout the exercise.
Move Your Arms – Lift your arms overhead, crossing them over the crown of your head. Bend your elbows so your palms face down. Then lower your arms back to the parallel position.
Alternate Wrists – When crossing your arms overhead, switch which wrist is in front each time.
Breath with Movement – Inhale deeply as you extend your arms. Exhale fully as your arms cross over your head. Keep the movements fast-paced, using a steady Breath of Fire.
Duration – Practice for 3, 7, or 11 minutes based on your comfort level.
If you’re using this meditation as a 40-day sadhana, you can choose to do this for 3, 7, or 11 minutes for 40 days to get the maximum effect of this meditation. Just remember to honor this as a spiritual practice daily, starting over if you miss a day.
If you’re an advanced yogi, you might choose to do this as a 120-day sadhana. Listen to the needs of your mind, body, and spirit and answer their call.
So how does this kriya work?
Lion’s Paw Kriya is a short, powerful exercise with an immediate impact on the brain and its electromagnetic field.
Electromagnetic Activation – This kriya significantly influences the brain's electromagnetic field, enhancing mental clarity and focus.
Pressure Reflexes – The pressure created by the hand position triggers reflexes in the fingertips that connect to different areas of the brain, promoting neural activation and balance.
Lymphatic Movement – The dynamic arm movements stimulate the lymphatic system, encouraging lymph flow and detoxification, which aids in the body’s overall energy circulation.
Nervous System Pressure – The specific arm movements pressurize the nervous system, facilitating a shift from stress to a more relaxed state, which enhances emotional stability.
Stimulating Essential Glands – Integrating Breath of Fire with the arm motion boosts the functioning of the pituitary gland and stimulates the pineal gland, increasing the brain's radiance and subtle frequency.
Chakra Activation – This kriya also activates key chakras, particularly the heart and throat chakras, fostering deeper emotional balance and self-expression.
Grounding and Centering – The posture and intentional breath work ground your energy, helping stabilize your aura and promote a sense of inner peace.
